A little Pop, a little Rock, a little Folk...

There are few songwriters who have the ability to captivate an audience quite the way Kim DiVine is known to. Her songs embody all that is human, putting her heart unabashedly on her sleeve with her percipient insights and unique song form. The combination of these qualities has endeared her music to audiences of all ages worldwide.

Originally from a small town in Massachusetts, Kim has been a substantial presence in Southern California’s music scene since 2004. Before her move to Los Angeles she dedicated her time performing in the San Diego music scene where she was named “Best Singer/Songwriter” and “Best Female Vocalist” in the San Diego H.A.T. Awards (Honoring Acoustic Talent). She has performed live on San Diego’s popular 91X FM Morning Show with Cantore, FM 94/9’s “Local Pyle”, and was a featured artist on KPRI 102.1 FM.

Kim recently starred in “Kim & Seana”, a music infused Internet webisode series sponsored by Ford Motors and was recently awarded “Best Acoustic Artist” for Indie In-Tune’s Publisher Awards.

DiVine has received recognition on an International level as well. Songs “Home (Stickin’ Around)” and “What’s It Gonna Be?” made it to the second round of judging in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) Her song "Trouble" placed in the top 20 for the 11th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest and also received an honorable mention for being placed in the top 500 entries in the 2007 Billboard World Song Contest. DiVine was chosen as a semi-finalist in the Discmakers International music World Series, west division and her video blog, “Bedroom Sessions”, was featured on the front page of YouTube and has received over 2 million views.

Reviews from her most recent release, "Square One"

"I came across Kim’s music a couple years ago, and was immediately captivated by her voice. With uniquely strong vocals and songs rich in powerful melodies, she was simply an artist that stood out from the crowd. Flash forward to today; Kim has released her brand new album Square One and it only reenforces everything I thought the day I discovered this incredible artist." - Mothpod Radio
"Presenting an intelligent yet melodic approach to pop-folk, DiVine has crafted an independent debut with all the polish and vision of a major label release.” - Jim Trageser, North County Times, June 2006"
"Kim DiVine doesn’t have a gimmick. There are no bells or whistles or even a Macbook on stage with her. She is straight up, straight forward, folk rock. She’s a girl on stage with nothing but a guitar, her voice, and two great supporting musicians. With just this and her heartfelt music, she turned the Hotel Café all warm and cozy on an especially chilly Thursday night." - Rachael K, LoudVine
